DOCUMENTED APPLICATIONS

Scientific support
in real incidents.

Documented applications from 2022 and 2023, as described in the RiskAC presentation material. Each account identifies the Center’s specific scientific contribution.

2022

Dadia, Evros

Satellite monitoring of the forest fire

During the fire that began on 21 July 2022, RiskAC teams, particularly the fire team, tracked its evolution in space and time through satellite imagery.

Scientific contributionAvailable information was relayed to regional Civil Protection personnel to support situational awareness.
